Apple blossom is a great wedding venue! We hosted our wedding weekend here and the experience was really special. The property is well maintained and thoughtfully stocked in addition to being incredibly comfortable for all guests. We were able to seamlessly host a welcome party, wedding & reception, and a Sunday brunch through Dwell and a few great local vendors. There are a lot of key things that come with the wedding package but my husband and I did a lot of planning to bring it all to life. If you want your wedding to be a celebration and an experience, I recommend Apple Blossom Resort.

Jorge and the team at Apple Blossom were fabulous for my wedding weekend. We had an unexpected cold snap and he worked w/ us to find solutions to the outdoor wedding. We are so grateful and it was truly a weekend to remember. Perfect to house the wedding and the whole family for 4 days.

We stayed at Apple Blossom and found it to be everything we hoped for and our family of 20 people enjoyed every minute in comfort on amazing property with all the amenities you could want ..AND the sleeping and overall accommodations were not only clean and fresh but anything you wanted to do, anything you needed was available. Can you tell we had a great time!

Best decision ever!!! With a month to go until our wedding, our venue canceled. Sheer dumb luck the Apple Blossom location was still available and it was better than we ever imagined. Not only was Jorge super responsive for everything we would need he made sure we knew no wrong could happen. Pictures online don’t do it justice! Our wedding was perfect and everyone had more than enough space for themselves ( all 22 of us). Will definitely be going back andif we could do it all over again next weekend we definitely would! If you’re thinking about booking with Dwell at all do it!! Just not when I want to go back lol

Beautiful location for an outdoor wedding. Whole wedding party was able to stay at the house. The staff was friendly and great communication. Our family was able to enjoy all the amenities that the house had to offer. We look forward for another stay at Apple Blossom.

It was amazing. The facility was modern and clean. They have plenty of spaces and everything is provided generously. The staff are also very responsive. Will go back again for sure.
Fantastic Stay (Again)
This is the second time we have booked with Dwell Vacations (different property each time) and they always hold up to my high standards for renting a vacation home. We held a small retreat here and the cleaning was spotless, every need thought through, and when we had a small issue they came to fix it within 2 hours.

The service is exceptional. In a place that has so much equipment handled by so many different people who are unfamiliar with the equipment, problems will likely occur. Our expectations were exceeded by the range of equipment and facilities on the property. The artificial turf was conducive to playing badminton, lawn bowling and other grass friendly sports. One of our family members planned the meals for 30 people. She found the storage available and the cooking and other kitchen equipment available made it possible to buy ahead of time with only small trips required to get specialty items. By having all of our meals at the main house, we found that opportunities for informal conversations were plentiful. The attractiveness of the complex was so appealing that few people spent much time away from the complex. The total cost of lodging and meals make your properties a likely choice for future family reunions. Apple Blossom exceeded our expectations. A rare experience in this day and age. Thanks!

We just came home from a great week at this beautiful property. The homes and surrounding property were perfect for our group of 24. Plenty of space to be together yet have private spaces as needed The pool was awesome and we used the tennis courts to play Pickleball. Easy to get to the beach, nearby restaurants and shopping. Lots of amenities! It is like having your own private resort. Perfect!

Apple Blossom and the Dwell Vacation team did it again - making our family of nearly 40 have the most amazing and memorable week. This is our third year at Apple Blossem and each year it gets better. (This year the new flowers and patio on the side of the house made for a perfect location for family photos!)
Apple Blossom is the perfect stay for large families - we had infants to great- grandparents - and everyone loved it! At any give time there could family in the pool, a pickle ball tournament happening on the tennis court and the largest game of LCR happening at the perfect sized kitchen table! You do not to leave the grounds when you stay here, because there is so much to do!
The Dwell Vacation staff was amazing - always checking in and promptly answering our questions (thank you, Penny!) The property is incredibly taken care of - inside and out. Thank you so much for making it a such a special trip - we are already counting down until next year!

Amazing time at the Apple Blossom Resort! We have a family reunion for 50+ people every 5 years and chose the Apple Blossom Resort for our 2023 reunion. To say it was incredible is an understatement. So unbelievably gorgeous and the perfect amount of fun and relaxation for the young and olde(er) alike. So green - so much to do - so conducive to catching up with family. Cannot recommend it enough. For the last 3 years, my family has hosted a big reunion at a Dwell Vacations property. The last 2 were at Apple Blossom and we had an exceptionally good time. The property is spotless and well-equipped. The pool and outdoor areas are huge, well lit, and easy to enjoy. We spent a week there and wished it was lot longer.
The Dwell staff is great and very quick to respond. Easy access when we arrived and simple departure. A great choice for a leisurely vacation with everything you need.

Apple Blossom Resort is so beautiful and the perfect place to have a wedding! My husband and I got married here and wouldn't change a thing about it. Penny was so great at communicating with us and making sure that we had everything we needed in order to host a successful event. The property itself was very clean, had tons of activities, and made for an unforgettable weekend. Having a venue like this allows for maximum time with friends and family, which was our main goal. They also just added a walkway to the turf/tent area and a platform for the ceremony, making the space ever more functional. I will definitely be renting with Dwell Vacations again for family and friends weekends!

Apple Blossom is simply stunning! My husband and I had our wedding here on September 17th, 2022. The communication from Penny and the team from the beginning was seamless, efficient, and so informational. Penny was so sweet, attentive, and handled all our questions with detail and care. Fast forward to the big weekend, and it could not have been more perfect of a property. We are from MI originally, but my husband and I have called Colorado home for many years, and were actually not able to tour our venue prior to arriving for our wedding weekend due to scheduling conflicts. Penny allowed my parents to visit in our place, and while I got rave reviews from my family who toured, it truly doesn’t do it justice till you see it for yourself in person. We had the property for a 4 day weekend, and hosted the full bridal party on-site. For the days leading up to the wedding, the amenities were amazing. So many things you need for day to day are provided in the home, and with the weather being as perfect as it was (75-80 degrees late Sept) we got amazing use out of the pool, hot tubs, outdoor deck areas, basketball court, and so on. We hosted our rehearsal dinner on-site the Friday prior to the wedding, and had the full event on Saturday 9/17. The multiple houses on-site allowed for separation of bride and groom and those standing to get ready without seeing one another. The property both inside and outside also has so many wonderful photo opps. It’s beautifully well kept and decorated. The yard was so big we set up our ceremony parallel to the main house, held cocktail hour on the pool deck, and held the reception in the tent. Our guests RAVED about the property and how beautiful it was. The astroturf in the reception tent was a genius addition, and us, our families, and best of friends never wanted to leave. When we were searching for venues, nothing felt like it would encompass our vision. Outside of the day of, one huge thing we wanted for our weekend was a place for the bridal party to all stay together, versus separate hotel rooms. Apple Blossom was the perfect combination of both, and renting private was the best vendor choice we made. Thank you SO much Apple Blossom, Penny, Jorge, and team. It was a weekend we will certainly never forget!

We hosted our wedding at Apple Blossom in the fall of 2021 and it could not have been a more perfect venue. We had our family and closest friends stay at the home and then invited a larger guest list to the wedding on Saturday. The home itself was immaculate and had everything needed for our stay. Plenty of kitchen equipment, towels, toiletries and even games and toys! If you're looking at Apple Blossom for your wedding or an event, I cannot recommend it enough. The Dwell team was incredibly responsive and helpful with planning. They even had a list of recommended vendors that we relied on heavily. Everyone that attended our wedding was in awe of the property and how beautiful the land surrounding the house is. It is also very conveniently located, super close to downtown New Buffalo while being private and tucked away. Choosing Apple Blossom was the BEST decision we could have made!!

Not only is this home well appointed and comfortable it is simply beautiful. We were able to house our entire team with everything we could need within a hands reach. There is enough space to give everyone needed privacy as well as space to comfortably meet as a group. The host is responsive and helpful. We are looking forward to to our annual retreat in 2023.

5 STARS! I highly recommend Apple Blossom Resort! We stayed & had our wedding weekend at Apple Blossom in early October. From the start, Penny was so wonderful to work with and the owners were also extremely accommodating when we worked with them as well.
I am in the wedding industry and had many requests along the way, but they handled them flawlessly. The grounds were just stunning, they are constantly putting in new plants and making adjustments to improve the grounds.
We were able to have our welcome party & wedding at the Resort. Our family was able to stay on the property and we had a shuttle come from a nearby hotel for the remainder of the guests. The pool was heated and we were able to use it in OCTOBER! The hot tubs were great and the new tent on the property was perfect for our reception. I had a question about the sound system & lights during our weekend and Penny was on it immediately and walked me through it. Cannot recommend this fabulous home enough - our family wants to come back for a holiday next year!

We hosted our weekend wedding celebration at the Apple Blossom. The property was perfect. Each home on the property was well appointed for our guests needs, ranging in age from young to old. And the property amenities were incredible - from the pool, to the basketball/tennis courts and ping pong table.
The property itself provided a stunning location for our wedding celebration - with a gorgeous side yard for the ceremony, poolside champagne and appetizers which led into the tent for dinner and dancing, all surrounded by a backdrop of beautiful trees. And Lake Michigan is a short drive away to capture some additional photos on the beach.
The service was seamless. Incredibly responsive and flexible as we planned throughout the Covid experience.

My wife and I were looking for a place to celebrate our 50th anniversary with our kids and grandkids. Finding the right place for 41 people is not easy. Apple Blossom Resort exceeded our needs and our expectations. Penny could not have been more accommodating or more helpful. My grandson said it best, “Dad, this place is fabulous! Apple Blossom was perfect for our family reunion / 50th anniversary celebrations. The rooms lay-out was conducive to easy, multiple gatherings; the pool design was so family friendly and perfect temperature, with cover easily handled; the bedrooms were great, with room enough for pack’n plays, and stuff; kitchen was well-equipped, two refrigerators were appreciated; turf fields, tennis/basketball courts were super. Everyone was impressed and appreciated the thoughtful planning that was put into the whole design.

I booked Apple Blossom for my 'Wedding Weekend' and honestly, I cannot put into words how amazing the weekend was. Leading up to the event, Penny, was fantastic about communicating and making sure I had all information about the property - they even have a wedding booklet that includes FAQs, Vendor Recommendations, and past Weddings to reference that was SO helpful.
I planned the Wedding Weekend from a different state and she answered every question I had, was patient with me, and ensured every box was checked leading up to the weekend.
All of the houses were modern, comfortable, and equipped with everything you need for a weekend away. The light and airy feel both inside and outside made for BEAUTIFUL pictures. If any bride, couple, or family is looking to book this property, I would highly recommend as the property is not only amazing, but the booking process and Dwell Vacations Team is also amazing.

AMAZING large family gathering space for a long weekend.
Apple Blossom was above and beyond any vrbo/bnb property I've ever stayed. It had enough rooms (and then some) for our very large family. It had all the kitchen essentials. The sports activities were a hit, hot tubs...yes plural.... being the mvps of the weekend. Camp fires everyday all day. We had some amazing Chicago restaurants feed us dinners (just 1.5 hours away), Lula Cafe who cooked in the kitchen and Big Star Taco Truck who pulled right up to the front door. Penny, our host, was responsive and very helpful with any and all questions we had. And the aesthetic of the place was both beautiful and modern but also cozy and homey with the fire places and yummy warm window light. We would love to reserve this space annually, especially in the summer when we could take advantage of the pool. Hopefully we can make that dream a reality, and be back soon. If you're on the fence, just do it, rent this space, it was really incredible.

The team was so accommodating for our group. It was the perfect venue for our retreat. Well stocked and beautifully appointed homes. Dead of winter but plenty of firewood provided for the fireplaces. Everyone’s asking if we can come back next year!

Apple Blossom is even more spectacular than it's description. The home is immaculate, spacious, so comfortable for sleeping, and privately secluded on a beautiful piece of property. So many conveniences have been included to make staying here a celebration for families. Having several children under the age of 2, it was a so great to find 2 cribs and 2 highchairs on site. The child-friendly heated pool and 2 hot tubs were a huge hit for our group, and our kids/grandkids loved playing outside on the soccer, tennis and basketball courts. There is so much to do here you may never want to leave the property. We finished our fun filled days relaxing together around the firepit in the most comfortable of chairs.
Jorge and Meg are gracious hosts who have genuinely put their heart and soul into making their properties welcoming. Their thoughtful attention to detail and attentiveness to guests is exceptional. They are so pleasant to work with and make it easy to fall in love with this area of Michigan. We also want to give a shout out to Penny, who handles the reservation bookings, check-in and check-out process. She's very responsive, thorough and cheerful. This is the 4th Dwell property we have stayed at, and we are already looking forward to returning next year!
Annual Family Vacation
We are a family of 14 adults and 23 grandkids. This is our third year at Apple Blossom and there's is just nothing like it for a large group. We've vacationed for years at Hilton Head SC. but Apple Blossom offers far more than anything we've found on that island.
The facility is wonderful, open, enchanting (up a long lane) and well done. The pool is family perfect. There's something like 7 acres for kids to run and the basketball/tennis court is a great add.

A large group of us rented the New Buffalo home (Apple Blossom) for MLK weekend the winter of 2020. The house worked perfect and the Dwell Vacations team was outstanding. They recommended restaurants, a few private chefs, sledding hills, and ski resorts. They were so quick to respond via text with any questions we had throughout our stay. Response time had to average less than 10 minutes. The house was better than advertised with our entire group is looking forward to rebooking for the summer of 2020 and winter of 2021. Highly recommended the property and the property management team.

I had been a follower of Dwell Vacations and their beautiful posts on Instagram since my husband and I moved to Harbor Country in 2017. I never dreamed that I would one day I might host an event of my own there. After my husband lost his brave, two-year battle with cancer, it was serendipity that lead me to choose their Apple Blossom Resort as the setting to celebrate his amazing life. From my first meeting with Meg and tour of the property, I knew I had found the perfect partners, setting and venue. Meg and Jorge, the owners of this beautiful property, could not have been more gracious in helping me navigate planning a celebration of my wonderful husband’s life during the most painful time of my own. The venue was perfect and the celebration was amazing. The three houses on the property are beautifully appointed and the pool (yes, we swam in November!), hot tubs and fire pits were terrific. A lifetime of memories and stories shared in one weekend. A weekend that our guests and I will never forget. Thank you Meg & Jorge. ❤️

We stayed here with a large group of friends coming together for a celebration of a dear friend's life. The venue could not have been better for the weekend, and the proprietors were extremely helpful and accommodated all of our needs. It's an amazing location that is so easy to get to, but it feels like you are away from it all. We are trying to figure out how we can go back! I would highly recommend the Apple Blossom Resort.

The perfect place for large family vacations
This place is remarkable in it's vibe, location, recreational opportunities one site, pool, hot tubs, kitchen, alcoves, etc. I've been all over the country and have found nothing that compare. It's simply wonderful. Other than the main kitchen/Dining/Gathering area needing serious acoustical treatment to manage the noise from 30-50 people it's great. Fix this serious problem and there's not a weak spot.
Our Clan of 20 Holiday
Apple Blossom is a great property. This was our second straight year spending a week in July with 10 adults and 10 grandkids ages 16 to ten months. There’s an abundance of activities both on property and close by.
As a side bar, the owners are terrific to deal with.

We will definitely be coming back with a bigger crew! We had 22 kids and adults and place was palatial modern and built for luxurious but very comfortable entertaining! Pool, tennis court, basketball court kept the crew very engaged. All the modern and very new rooms and amenities

Memorial Day Weekend Compound
Amazing property, houses, pool, tennis court, expansive lawns, firepits, hot tubs, gourmet kitchens, etc. We had 8 families all with small children and this felt like our own high end resort. No details left out by Meg and Jorge who were awesome hosts. The 3 house were all well equipped, very well designed and plenty of ensuite bathrooms.
The property is also very close to everything in New Buffalo yet very private.
Can't say enough and can't wait to book it again.

We rented the property for a 3-day family reunion/wedding celebration. An epic home worthy of your grand event!
This is our 4th trip to a home owned by Jorge & Meg and our 2nd trip to this property. We use the homes for a work retreat with employees ranging from 22-50. The homes have so much to offer (as does another property we stayed at 2x in Union Pier near the beach!). These folks have a model that they execute on each one of their properties- essentially, they are building a brand and doing it to perfection! Each BR has at least 2 sleeping areas. For a work event, this is perfect. It is already slightly awkward to have people share rooms, but can you imagine asking co-workers to share a bed? At this property, there are no concerns about this. There will be a Queen or King in each room along with a separate twin bed. That twin usually (perhaps always) has a trundle underneath, so technically, there are 3 sleeping surfaces in each room. While I have only hosting work events at these properties, I can imagine a BIG family event with each family taking a single room (Mom & Dad in the King, sister in the twin, brother in the trundle). Each BR has an en suite as well.
For the compound itself (yes, it is a compound). There are 3 houses, all within a circle driveway (100-150 ft. from each other). The main house has 7 BRs. The layout is great. Kitchen was plenty big for our group of 24 to cook, eat, etc. Kitchen, eating area/great-room combo was plenty big as well. BRs are all in a row. At the end of the row, sits a separate lounge area. We had 10-12 seated comfortably playing cards one evening.
The 2nd house has 4 BRs. It isn't as grand as the main home in size, but little else (nothing) is missing. If your group of 8-12 had this as their only home, they'd be more than satisfied. Then, the cabin... that name doesn't do the house justice. It is a 1-BR open concept, cool little home. Btw, the "cabin" is just as impressive as the main house.
The property has a large pool, hot-tub, ping-pong table and tennis courts/basketball courts that we enjoyed throughout our long weekend.
The home is well equipped and has some great amenities and technology integrated into the property (this is consistent as well across his homes).
The compound is located about 2-3 miles (5 minute drive) from downtown New Buffalo and the public beach. Some of our staff walked to Galien River Park-- it is a 10 minute walk. We visited Round Barn Winery and so much more..
Next time I'm going to try to get my family into one of these homes- it really is memorable!
Great for large groups
Great place for large groups. Had everything we needed and more. Spent all day in the pool, playing games, bbq-ing at night, and easily accommodated our group of 25+. Very clean and well maintained. Jorge was extremely responsive on the few minor questions I had.

Great spot. Wonderful amenities. Handled our group of nineteen (ages 2 to 72) nicely.
Loved the pool right outside the main house and the ability for all 19 of us to sit together at one table for meals.
Everything was perfect; did I mention we were able to cook a dozen ribeyes on the grill at once.
Kids and adults enjoyed basketball and tennis; plenty of room for baseball and football.
Roasted s’mores nightly; plenty of firewood stacked right next to the pit.
Every bedroom had a full bath.
PS - Only regret is that there were no king-sized beds.
THE place to stay for a large family reunion
Our family recently stayed at the Apple Blossom Resort and everyone in our group from 1 to 80 years old had a fantastic time! We loved the set up as there were so many places to hang out as a large group both indoors and outdoors. Since each bedroom had an attached bath, we didn’t have to worry about lines for the shower in the morning. The house was very well stocked and furnishings were certainly picked out with the renter in mind.
The location of the property was perfect as we were minutes away from the beach, New Buffalo, and nearby attractions, yet it felt like we were away from it all in the Michigan woods. Jorge was very responsive both before and during our stay. He highlighted local attractions and we loved everything that was recommended.
Overall, it was a fantastic experience… we are already planning a return trip for next year!
This is an amazing place and perfect for a large gathering
We rented the estate with all 3 homes for a wedding weekend. The wedding wasn't on-site but the family and friends stayed at the Estate. It was close to groceries, restaurants and the beach for sunset. There were a few things that needed attention but Jorge arrived shortly after sharing our observations. I especially loved that every bedroom was an ensuite so our diverse group had privacy. The homes were well stocked which was appreciated - we didn't have to go out to buy basics. The outdoor space was extensive and we had people playing tennis, corn hole, Viking chess, etc. Plus the pool, both hot tubs and both fire pits were used well. We loved this place and can't wait to find a reason to go back.
Third time and it still leaves the same impression!
This is our third time staying at the Apple Blossom. It is always well kept and Mr. Alvarez is very responsive to any requests we may have during the stay. All of our groups shared these sentiments. We will return for a fourth!!
Beautiful house for large groups
We were hosting our annual company event for around 25 people coming out from Chicago and Apple Blossom was an absolutely perfect venue. Jorge was great on the communication and everyone absolutely loved the experience. Only wish it was summer so we could have enjoyed the swimming pool but the hot tub made up for it. Would definitely recommend to anyone looking for a lovely place to stay in that area and its so easy to get to from Chicago, a quick 1hr 30 min drive from downtown. Highly recommended.

We rented this property for our daughters wedding. The 3 homes easily accommodated all of the wedding party and family members. All of our guests were very impressed with the grounds and amenities. Everything we could have needed and wanted was at our fingertips. Jorge was extremely professional and easy to work with. Highly recommend this property for large groups and family stays.
Large Group Family Reunion
We are still amazed by our wonderful stay last week! The attention to detail is impressive. From the Architectural Design & Decor of the beautiful homes, to the outdoor surround sound system was truly an amazing experience. We were so thrilled with all the amenities the Apple Blossom resort had to offer. Our family reunion wouldn't have been as successful if it wasn't for the beautiful space. No one wanted to leave the property to explore the surrounding area! We were able to create memories of a lifetime and enjoyed every bit of our stay. We are already planning a return trip back, next summer! Not only was the property truly beautiful, but the houses were very well kept, all amenities were plentiful and clean. To top it all, we couldn't have asked for a better friend than the owner, Jorge. Jorge, hats off to you good sir for the professionalism and for being a gracious host! Thank you!

This is perfect for many types of occasions---our family get together was so special as Apple Blossom has so many amenities. We never had to leave the resort. Would definitely consider coming back.
PERFECT IN EVERY WAY
How lucky could we be?! Still amazed by the wonderful stay we had last week. Everything at the Apple Blossom Resort was absolutely perfect! Jorge and his wife (along with their friendly and helpful staff; housekeeping, pool staff, groundskeepers, etc.) have provided a beautiful place for a large group to get away, relax and spend time together. There was nothing we needed that wasn't provided for us and every amenity was the finest quality. Jorge was always available to answer questions prior to our trip and during our stay - even contacting us to be sure we had everything we needed upon arrival. We are already talking about plans to stay next year. We would highly recommend Apple Blossom Resort for any group looking for a place to be together yet offering private space for each and every guest. Thank you - It was beyond our expectations!!

What an amazing place to hold our family reunion! The best property by far.
Where do I begin? We had a large group and the property accommodated all 34 of us, ages 5 to 82 years, very comfortably. The attention to detail was impressive. There were different places to congregate so we didn't feel like we were on top of one another. We were able to truly relax. The kitchen was beautiful and fully stocked. We cooked and barbecued every evening and could eat together either inside or outside. The kids had so many activities they could do together at the house - swim, play tennis, basketball, ping pong and board games. Also, a large group of us walked 5 minutes up the road and rented paddle boards and kayaks. A variety of activities are nearby and the town of New Buffalo is quaint and right on the lake. The owner, Jorge, was so accommodating and such a nice person. We will definitely rent from him in the future. It was one of our best reunions!
Best family weekend ever
The property is beautiful, well kept and very accommodating. I had my 7 children and spouses, 12 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren and each of them said it was the best weekend we've ever enjoyed. There are activities for all ages, dining facilities for large groups and is secluded so that you can enjoy your visit in complete privacy. We brought plenty of games and food and really never had to leave the property.

WONDERFUL!!
This home is absolutely wonderful! The houses are all impeccably designed and with all the amenities you can possibly imagine. Everyone enjoyed the heated pool and after our mini bracket play of tennis, basketball and ping pong the hot tub was a welcome reprieve for both the young and not so nimble older. The kitchen is equipped with a beautiful, industrial Wolf stove. This property is near wineries which also made beer and spirits (Round Barn Winery) and also right across the street from a great park! And lets not get started on the bed sheets, like sleeping on air; everyone raved on how well they slept! This really is the perfect home and the owners have thought of everything to make everyone's stay as enjoyable as possible! Wonderful all around!
Incredible Property, 10/10
I rented out this property for my wedding, and the resort exceeded my expectations. The homes are beautifully curated, and the property is lovely and private. We had an amazing weekend, and I would recommend the property to anyone.
Perfect for our group outing
We held our 50th Annual Golf Outing at The Apple Blossom Resort a few days ago and found it to be perfect fit our 23 attendees. The acommidations and setting made this historic event a memorable occasion.

Great stay. Apple Blossom is a really great place to stay and spend few days off. Ideal for company workshops. The property is very clean, all bedrooms are very comfortable, and everything in this property (appliances, TV, internet, sound system, etc) is high quaity.
Beautifully and carefully designed
We rent at least three houses a year: Thanksgiving, skiing, and a fall festival. Jorge's house is the best. It is spacious, comfortable, gorgeous with so many thoughtful touches that one cousin took pictures of many of the finishes for a house she is working on. The bedrooms and bathrooms are large and well equipped. Love the drawers under the sinks. Great mattresses in the bedrooms and nice towels and soaps in bathrooms. Bathroom fixtures are stunning. The kitchen/great room combo had a table almost large enough for our crowd of 30 (we brought in an out- door table) that was beautifully set when we arrived. The living room furniture was comfortable, stylish and we used the fireplace all the time. So wonderful that the kitchen has two large sinks with disposals and spray faucets and also two dishwashers and two garbage drawers. We could gather around to talk, watch home movies on a great TV and use the wonderful Wolf stove and huge refrigerator. If we ran out of space there was an auxiliary kitchen nearby with another fridge, coffee maker and cabinets. If a group wanted to do a different activity, there was a beautiful second living room nearby with TV and comfortable seating. We took full advantage of the very kindly-provided activity closet: the kids loved the bubbles, many played tennis with the extra racquets and there were wonderful books and little surprises everywhere. With everything on one level, our toddlers had room to roam without stairs and the cribs and high chairs provided were so nice, all brand new and there were also terrific step-stools that the kids loved. We used all three buildings and the cottage and the cabin are equally beautiful and well-designed. The grounds are gorgeous and many people used the hot tub. Did I mention that the laundry room in the main house has three washers and three dryers? Jorge could not have been more wonderful and accommodating every step of the way, answering questions and coming immediately to help when we couldn't figure something out. Although we stayed "home" most of the week, we had one great dinner in town (the Journeyman Distillary) and the local gym, Equilibrium, ran a special spin clsss just for our family. I would return any time!
New, modern and well thought out!
It's always a challenge to find a vacation home to accommodate my big family. We were very excited to find the Appleblossom property and even more so after staying there! With 3 buildings on the property there are many options to organize your group: the children, the early risers, etc. Each building is well equipped and comfortable. We were fortunate to be one of the first groups to stay here but the style and choice of materials and finishes will allow the property to stay new and contemporary for years to come. My family was most impressed with the attention to detail that Jorge and Meg have put into this rental the well-equipped kitchens, interesting books, games and hotel-style bathroom items. The tennis/basketball court is a nice bonus, but didn't get as much use as the beautiful pool with it's clever built-in wading area. As with any new place, there were a few minor issues but Jorge was responsive in getting them addressed. My family is already talking about returning next year!
From start to finish, our experience at the Apple Blossom Resort was superb!
Our family has vacationed every year since the early 80's, mostly on the Carolina coast but more recently in Michigan. With a family of 28 it is difficult to find a home or homes large enough to accommodate our family, who range in age from 1 to 91! I couldn't believe how fortunate we were to find the Apple Blossom Resort...3 homes on a large property with a swimming pool, hot tub, tennis/basketball courts, fire pit, sand box and lots of acreage for fun and games. We had plenty of questions leading up to our visit, and Jorge was super about answering each one. We were greeted by Jorge and his wife, Meg, upon our arrival and our immediate reaction was WOW! Everything about the resort is top notch, beautifully decorated, exceptionally clean with more amenities than we've ever experienced in our 30 plus years of renting vacation homes.....games, beach towels, tennis rackets, well stocked kitchen and quality everything. The property is very private (which we loved), and the main house has tons of windows overlooking the pool area and back yard. We enjoyed coffee in he mornings on one of several patio areas and watched deer and wild turkeys play in the back yard. With a large pool and tennis courts, we rarely left the property! Nighttime found us enjoying a glass of wine sitting around a bonfire watching the stars. The main house fit our family perfectly, as did the 3 bedroom cabin for the middle generation with smaller kids. The newlyweds of the family enjoyed the romantic one bedroom cabin with a beautiful stone fireplace and private backyard. We're big walkers and loved that the Galien River Park was less than a mile from the property. We also appreciated that it was less than a 10 minute drive to the grocery store, restaurants and Salty Dog! We all agreed that the Apple Blossom Resort is the best place we're ever rented, and we will definitely be back. It exceeded our expectations in every way, and I would highly recommend it to family and friends. Jorge and Meg are exceptional hosts, and it was obvious that their goal was to create a beautiful atmosphere where you immediately feel relaxed, pampered and wish you'd booked a second week!
